Slideway Re-manufacture

If your machine tools are not working efficiently, your slideways may be worn or in need of re-alignment. Natural use, grinding dust and swarf can all eventually lead to machine tool slideways needing re-conditioning.

Slideway re-manufacturing and re-aligning can add years to the life of your machine tools. At Spindle Services, we build up the slideway using turcite and then after a minimum of 24 hours curing, we machine or scrape away returning the slideway back to its original condition aiming for at least 90% contact between the surfaces, if not better.

What is Turcite? Turcite is PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) resins and added fillers such as bronze.

Our engineering expertise allows us to carry out detailed analysis and inspection of individual components as they are supplied to ensure firstly that they meet the drawing requirements and then, as they are assembled into the build, to ensure they meet their intended task. Recommendations and future improvements are fed back as we go along to complete the engineering loop.
