Spindle Services superb new facilities include a 5 tonne gantry crane
allowing handling of the largest spindle assemblies. A 130 Square
Meter main workshop incorporates a Class 1 surface table for
inspection purposes along with a state of the art LK digital
measuring machine. An extensive run-test bed incorporates invertor
control and a full range of motor drives to cover all types of
spindles. Hydraulic test rigs for power drawbar verification and
Hydraulic power packs for testing of Hydrostatic/ Hydrodynamic
spindles are all included. Large vee blocks and angle plates are
used to allow cartridge spindles to be run and to allow spindles to
be run in their correct orientation.
An
extensive range of assembly/ disassembly tools ensures rapid
teardown and reassembly. A range of bearing heaters covers all
spindle bearing sizes.
A
65 square meter adjustment workshop keeps all machining operations
separate from the assembly shop. This incorporates a Parker Majestic
surface grinder allowing us to ensure that all spindle spacers are
flat and parallel within the 0.001mm tolerance we demand, and a
Churchill tub grinder recently redesigned and rebuilt by ourselves to
better than original tolerances.
A 65 square meter storage room ensures that we are able to keep all
pattern equipment to ensure savings on repeat orders.
Finally, 65 square meters of office space houses our sales, engineering,
accounts and conference facilities.
Our design facility has an extensive AutoCAD suite on a separate site with all
engineering drawings being prepared in AutoCAD v 14.0.
