Spindle Services specialise in the remanufacture of Parker Majestic surface
grinders. We are all ex-employees of Associated Machine and Tools
who made over 400 Parker Majestic Surface Grinders. The 2nd
Hand machines are totally stripped and brought back to an as new
condition. As anyone who has a ‘Parker’ knows, the machine is
considered the most accurate and most rigid surface grinder
available and hence is favored by anyone who has to grind carbide.
Our fitters carry out one of the fine arts of machine tool fitting and
hand scrape and mottle the ways until 95 % blueing is achieved.
We usually have a couple of machines available at any one time or can
get one if required. Prices are extremely competitive with an ‘as
new’ machine being capable of grinding flat across the chuck
within 0.001mm.
The machine features solid high quality cast iron construction and hand
scraped anti stick-slip slides. The machine column height is 20 inches from table top to the
centerline of the grinding wheel enabling complicated sine chuck set
ups to be mounted on the chuck. The machine table is traversed
manually by a handwheel which wraps steel tapes around a drum
