Spindle Services offer a wide range of spindle products. We can offer any of the following types of spindles:-
Cartridge Spindles (CNC) – Either belt driven or integral motors utilising AC
servo technology. With power drawbars for tool retention, rotating
hydraulic/ air cylinders and drawtubes for chuck actuation, with
rotary encoders for spindle positioning – ideal for CNC machines.
Box Spindles – Foot mounted box type spindles belt drive or integral motorised – ideal for rotary or in-line transfer applications.
Geared Spindles – Spindles with integral gear reduction boxes for lower speed, high torque applications.
Grinding Spindles – Workheads, wheelheads, internal grinding spindles,
external grinding spindles, surface grinding spindles, To Belt Driven/
Motorised or high frequency.
Hydrodynamic
Spindles – Utilising MGF hydrodynamic bearings we can offer the
complete package with Hydraulic supply pack as well. Ideal for super
high precision applications.
De-Burring Spindles – high speed for deburring type operations.
Tooling
Systems – Spindle Services have a vast experience on tooling
connection systems. The standard ISO taper range is covered with
test bars and air gaging, HSK integral connections, ABS connections,
SDH, etc. etc. are all covered.
Eccentric Boring spindles – where the inner spindle shaft holding the tool
is eccentric to the outer spindle allowing, via drawbar actuation
changes in the cutting diameter of the tool.
High
Speed spindles – utilising the latest Ceramic Hybrid bearing
technology with oil/air lubrication and High Frequency motors.
Cluster Spindles – Multiple spindle clusters for high precision
applications, liquid cooled where required, belt driven or
motorised.
Line
boring bar support units – Precision cartridges for supporting line boring bars.
Actuators – Hydraulic or Pneumatic actuators for actuation of spindle
drawbar assemblies incorporating linear slides/ rotary unions/
coolant through capability etc.
Test Spindles – Spindles for test rigs – high speed, high torque, clutch assemblies etc.
Belt
Drive Assemblies – Manufacture of motor riser plates and
associated bracketry incorporating broken belt detection, rotary
encoders, spindle positioning, saddle mounting brackets etc.
Integral
Slideway Spindles – Incorporating slideways into spindle
assemblies where required for either centreline constraints or
overhang considerations.
